We are continuously
looking for improvements in all we do to uphold our vow to be a responsible
company at home and abroad, adhering to a higher standard than required, leading
rather than following and urging all of us to make small differences where we
can.
Marlow Yachts fleet fuel economy was improved an average of 10 percent over the
course of 2008 through investment in tooling, deeper reduction gears allowing
larger propellers and improved Velocijet© tunnels. Lowered wetted surface area
with refined rudder and keel foils decreased parasitic drag allowing for cleaner
more efficient underwater shape. Our development of Full Stack Resin Infusion©
and a concentrated effort to reduce displacement by using honeycomb counter
surfaces, cabinetry and other weight reduction programs have carried us into
range and speed with a given fuel capacity that NO similar yacht can approach.
