       NORSEMEN SHIPYARD LTD., INC.

Norsemen Shipyard is a pioneer in environmentally responsible marine manufacturing on a global basis. Norsemen-Marlow Shipyard policies and procedures to protect the environment surrounding the Norsemen Shipyard are absolute.  Chemicals are not permitted to be spilled or poured on the ground, or released into the air, under any circumstance.

Located in Chi Hu, Fujian Province, China, Norsemen Shipyard was built on the shores of the China Sea in the midst of a very productive agricultural area. Here, this large manufacturing plant has lived in harmony with the local fishing villagers, the farmers and the environment. Before the ground was broken, it had been decided that this new yacht manufacturing plant would produce the world's finest yachts while doing no harm to the earth, sky or water. The development of the technology to build yachts without releasing toxic residues and then implementing this technology was and is paramount to our philosophy and practices.

Our “green” factory is many years ahead of the industry in the treatment of wastes, potential pollution and workplace safety and health. It is a model for the industry and was honored with the first World Yachts Award for Environmental Consciousness in 2007. Marlow-Norsemen firmly believes that a clean environment is paramount to the well-being of our company and our workers. It is also our belief that the yachting public will seek out and patronize those companies who show responsibility to the environment rather than abusing it.

In addition to the manufacturing plant on the coast, Norsemen Shipyard owns a large, modern VIP center where company officers, visiting customers, manufacturing representatives and visiting national officials can meet, dine and spend the night in comfort.

Norsemen-Marlow Shipyard is currently producing 37'-86' Marlow Yachts using a proprietary method of resin infusion called Full Stack Infusion©. From the original drawings by our Naval Architects, to the engineering department, to the fabrication of all the stainless steel components, every part of the yachts we build is done by our employees in our plant.

In the current global financial environment, the yachting industry is showing signs of great stress. There are a few exceptions world-wide and they seem to share a common trait - that is the investment in the highest technology, with lean operating overheads and unrelenting pursuit of ever higher quality standards. We at Marlow Norsemen fit that model precisely and continue to have full employment. In fact, we intend to improve every aspect of our labor force by hiring the industry’s best and brightest as they become available. We are continuing to invest for tomorrow, operating as a debt free company at every level, to save unnecessary and non value added expense. We are putting the finishing touches on a state of the art fiberglass laminating facility at Marlow Norsemen, with one million two hundred thousand cubic feet of internal volume to allow us further advances in our proprietary Full Stack Infusion© process. Every building on the campus, totaling approximately 300,000 square feet, is filled with boatbuilding operations and retail orders. We have just taken delivery on a 150 Metric ton (330,000 lbs) travelift to be ready for the future.

Besides the large production buildings that house the various model lines, there is a large drawing and engineering department, a parts building, an apartment building for the masters of each department and a very large dormitory for workers who wish to live on campus. There is a kitchen which prepares three meals a day for all the workers using vegetables grown on the grounds.

As you find out more about Norsemen-Marlow Shipyard, you will understand that it has gone far beyond conventional manufacturing plants all over the world. We set our original course for a superior plant producing outstanding products, started with a clean, "green" factory and continue to evolve our process and our products to be the best.
